The Systems Administrator’s role is to ensure the stability and integrity of our client's data and network infrastructure. In addition, participation in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, servers, PCs, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide tier 2 end user support when required.
Must have a minimum of 4 years hands-on IT experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in a Senior Technical Support role or similar capacity.
Preferred Technical Knowledge:
Proven experience with Windows Server and server hardware including RAID controllers, troubleshooting replacement/upgrade of hardware, and rebuilding/migration of servers.
Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
Experience with routers and firewalls, SonicWALLs are a plus.
Understanding of switches, routers and basic networking components.
Experience working with server and network monitoring and remote management tools.
Certifications in Microsoft products (MCP, MCSE, etc.) or CompTIA certifications are a plus.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure complete resolution.
Articulate technical information and convey to non-technical people.
